If multiple utilies like brine, chilled water, cooling water and steam are used in the same jacket, it is highly likely that the steam will get contaminated by coming in contact with other media. If sent to the boiler feed water, such contaminated condensate might scale its tubes. Hence, condensate is often drained due to fear of contamination.
The Forbes Marshall Utility Automation Module recovers condensate only if it is at the right temperature (setpoint given). This ensures that the initial condensate which is contaminated is drained and the pure condensate at the right temperature (E.g. 90 deg C) is recovered and sent to the boiler feed water tank thus increasing the feed water temperature drastically.
