Tracer Line Traps are ideal for steam tracing applications where it is beneficial to use sensible heat from the condensate before it is discharged. Tracer line traps have a thermostatic capsule (thermopod) which contracts and allows condensate to be discharged only when it is cooled below the predefined temperature.
Normally, the capsule is designed to discharge the condensate at 24 Deg. C. below the steam saturation temperature which leads to efficient utilization of the sensible heat.
